BAD HABIT PRODUCTIONS PARTNERS WITH THEATRE COMMUNITY BENEVOLENT FUND

LOCAL THEATRE COMPANY TO FUNDRAISE AND SPREAD AWARENESS FOR TCBF

(Boston, MA) - Bad Habit Productions (BHP) is partnering with the Theatre Community Benevolent Fund (TCBF) to raise money during the final show in its premiere season: Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park, directed by Daniel Morris. The production runs from March 28 through April 6 at The Factory Theatre, 791 Tremont Street, Boston, and will be available for press viewing on Friday, March 28 at 8:00 p.m.

TCBF is a theatre community organization administered by StageSource for the benefit of actors and organizations who face dire need and require assistance. TCBF provides financial relief in a confidential, respectful manner to individuals and organizations facing extreme illness, catastrophic acts of nature, and other events such as vandalism/theft, and who have limited or no resources with which to handle such occurrences.

BHP hopes that this is the start of an ongoing partnership. "We're excited to partner with TCBF in our production of Barefoot in the Park," said Managing Producer Lauren Terry. "Beginning a new relationship with an organization that provides hope to those facing truly dire situations is a perfect ending to our Season of Hope. We are proud to help bring awareness about the good works of the fund to our neighbors in the theatre community."

Barefoot in the Park is Simon’s classic comedy about the complexities of relationships and features newlyweds Corie and Paul Bratter as they work through the trials and tribulations of their first two weeks of marriage. The couple is forced to adjust to the daily grind of married life while also contending with a run-down apartment, odd neighbors, and Corie's constantly visiting mother.

The production features Chelsea Cipolla and Terrence Haddad as Corie and Paul Bratter. BHP veteran Sally Nutt (previously seen in The Dining Room) stars as Ethel, Corie's mother. David White is dilettante Victor Velasco and Victor Shopov rounds out the cast as Harry Pepper, telephone man extraordinaire.

Director Daniel Morris is co-founder and Artistic Director of Bad Habit Productions. He directed the company's premiere show, A.R. Gurney's The Dining Room, last July.

Barefoot in the Park is BHP's final installment of its four-show "Season of Hope," which included sold out productions of The Dining Room, William Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale last September (directed by Midori Harris), and David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow (directed by Adam Sanders).

The production is open to the public. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. Tickets are $12 online or $15 at the door ($10 for students/seniors). Visit http://www.badhabitproductions.org to purchase tickets or for more information.
